For those of you that don't already know, Kray is our render engine, and most of the parameters for configuring the render engine are in the presets.
If you duplicate some presets before you start SU, and use a plain text editor (Crimson Editor for Windows is great, and I use Smultron on the Mac) to edit these, you can tweak the presets and get interactive feedback each time you render with a modified preset.
It's not as convenient as using a dialog box to configure the parameters, but it's pretty easy actually.
Anyone can earn a lot by looking at these videos. They are a bit technical, but contain lots of really useful information!

just a quick look at those videos got me dizzy. and glad I do not use lightwave. so many variables to tweak! no thanks, I shall stick with my dear old Podium as it is.

Actually far fewer than Vray, and also than Twilight as well I think.
