I've downloaded the free version of Edit In Place plugin offered to SU Pod v2 users (Thanks!) but when I try to test it I get a Group#1.skp window open, but this window is blank and all I get is an egg timer! I have to end program to close

Any ideas?

Thanks

Zoom extents. It may be that you have run out of memory, or that your component is out of view.

It's difficult to say without knowing anything about your OS or hardware. I have been using this for months and months on 2 Macs with no problem at all. It has also been running in the office on Windows and actually I have never seen a problem with it.

Hmm, works fine on XP normally. This is just a 'normal' Ruby plugin, nothing special. You might have a conflict, do you have any other plugins installed?

Yeah quite a few. I have tried disabling some at startup. Still not working.

Just disabled all of the plugins listed under Preferences > Extensions, restarted Sketchup tried Edit in Place again, but still hangs.

Could you please try deleting Podium (or uninstalling) and reinstalling again.
If the installation has gone according to plan, there is no reason why this shouldn't work, it's just another Ruby script.

Do you really mean Podium and not Edit in Place?

If you do I've tried reinstalling Edit in Place. Still not working

I guess something is conflicting with it, just not sure what.

Ah, I think it is a standard part of Podium now. Please uninstall Edit in Place it and reinstall Podium. A lot of our documentation needs updating.

I reinstalled Podium recently after a complete clean installation of OS X and I didn't do a separate install of EIP.

Just un-installed both, re-installed Podium 2.10, but I don't see Edit in Place.

Having said that the plugin was offered via a separate download. Instructions in the latest mail shot.

Hmm, weird. I have 2 files in my plugins folder, EditinplaceLoader.rbs and a folder called EditinPlace.

Can you try reinstalling and see if you have both of these?

Right, a re-install of podium 2.10 does not put EditinPlaceLoader.rbs or EditinPlace Folder in my plugins folder.

An install of Edit in Place (via last podium email, see below)

1. EditInPlace Free for SU Podium V2 users
If you have a license of SU Podium V2, click here to receive your free EditInPlace 1.1. You will need your V2 license code so click on License in the SU Podium V2 pull down menu. What is EditInPlace? Read about it here.

Does add the .rbs file and the folder, but I still have the problem with it hanging

Hmm, okay. Mine must have been reinstalled when I reinstalled all my plugins.

Which version of SketchUp are you running. Works fine on SU8, I wonder if it is the case that your XP machine is glitchy.
