Hi,

I tried to render a big surface of 2.5D Podium grass with the vegetation preset.

Thanks. A Podium Person. Wanted to see if a 2d person can looks a bit realistic. Because of the sun I choose this one. Hope I’m not shocking 😌.

That’s among the best grass I’ve seen in Podium! I don’t normally like 2.5d grass but it looks great here!

Thank you bigstick.

I use the "fur" SU plugin in crowd mode (no special settings needed other than density).
Created several zones on my ground plane, because I wanted different grass density. Low grass density far from camera but high density near the camera. I created 4 such "parallel" zones.

---------------------
House is here
---------------------
Grass zone 4: density 30
---------------------
Grass zone 3: density 45
---------------------
Grass zone 2: density 55
---------------------
Grass zone 1: density 70
---------------------
Camera is here
---------------------

If I only create one big zone with only one grass density, I have some white zones in the grass behind, because the grass density is too high. But with different density, it's ok.

Yes preset Preset exterior_vegetation 1.05 unchanged.
I think a lot of sun and some shadow areas are helpful.

I liked it! cool tip about the zoning for the grass, going to try it out

I think the ping pong table looks a little off, I wouldn't play it on an unleveled grass surface (but that's me), nice background

Hi,

This is a really nice render, the grass is very good, I also like the lighting.

I think you could frame the scene to be more effective, its hard to know if its the house or the hammock that is the intended focus, it just feels the image is cropped too much on the left hand side.

Everything else about the render is very successful.

kind regards,
Nat

Your zoning experiment caught my attention. My fur plugin has been turned back on. I will be trying this. Well done!
