Its been a long time since I spent some time on exterior rendering.
Quite happy with the results, but eager to learn from you guys (and girls).
So please let me know whats "wrong".

That's really very nice work!

You could do with adding some gutter joints and/or supports, and making the 3d grass a bit more dense, but it's fabulous work!

Thanks,

Gutter supports on the "main house" are actually there...but overlit.
the drainpipes are missing though [wink]

on the extension's eave there is no "gutter" it is put back and pipes are flush with the wood clad facade. the facing edge of the protruding roof is a black UNP with trim (would love to get rid of the trim).
I do agree about the grass, arguably it would even be better to PP the grass in.
Beside some little tweaks (contrast and NIK filter) I did not PP at all.

BTW. Rumours are instancing is coming?..that would make this kind of grass (and rooftiles) render way faster?

This is a very good render, I like the light and shadows, plus the refection on the glass.

The details and textures are very good, I also quite like the grass a lot, just a bit more denser as Jim has already said.

The tops of you chimneys look a bit unfinished. What about some recessed spot lights in the ceiling overhang ?

But overall - Great work.

regards,
Nat

Hmm, that ceiling above the doors looks rather too bright...

It looks like you have added some fill lighting there, that's not good.
