since podium doesn't support caustic, i want to put it by putting another omni light in between the plate and the cloth. but it its too fake for me.

The apple looks like plastic apple also. on the other hand the orange looks bumpy (because of the model).

the models actually were nurbs modelled and exported in 3ds. i imported the 3ds to su.

one thing is. if there are many polygons and faces. there is always tendency for su to crash. its really good to wait for few seconds before doing another task.

this time i concentrated and applying texture. im pretty happy the way texture wraps the object. the caustic effect still there. the second picture is i removed completely that omni light under the plate and the cloth.

Caustic (optics), the envelope of light rays reflected or refracted by a curved surface or object, or the projection of that envelope of rays on another surface. (from Wikipedia)

In rendering terms is used in relation with glass and water.

I hope this helps.
