hi all,

this is my first message to you guys. i've been using podium eval for some months now. i really want to buy the full-working version, but since i'm freelancing in a third-world country... guess i have to wait to make sum bucks just to purchase.

anyway, attached are the first attempts i made by podium. feel free to comment on anything. please stay tune for more...

all image are proposal for jerikohouse [www.jerikohouse.com.] please don't use any of the images without permission. it'll backfire on me.

Hi Fairdkun

I like the architecture. Some of the textures are really not up the scratch

but otherwise quite good entry. Especially outside concrete (if that is concrete) and dark wood. There are a lot nice dark wood textures on the internet. If you struggle to find let us know and somebody will post it for you. IMHO second image (the bathroom) is probably the best.

BTW Welcome to forum and why not join the contest. That might be the way to get your hands on the full version. You never know.

I like the clean look you try to aim for with that white background.
Some of the pictures have some over bright areas however.
I know that some render artists use a ground plane that curves up to a wall as a sort of studio setup for rendering objects (such as that bed).
This method could improve the quality of the lighting and provide a soft transition of white shading as a background. (because of that curve).
Maybe search on the net to learn about that kind of setups.

Very nice pictures already.

By the way, are you working as a foreigner in that 3d world country? Which country is that?

regards and welcome on board,

biebel

Fairdkun,

Some really nice renders actually, but I agree with sepo about the textures.

If you search the forum for some of my posts, you will see that I have posted quite a lot of them. Alternatively, it might be better to search for the word 'texture'.

If you download the contest model, it has quite a nice concrete texture in it which will probably be suitable for this model (really nice design also BTW).

If you are going to download the contest model for the texture, you may as well go ahead and enter the contest anyway!

Hi

Great renders. Nice atmosphere. If you can drop the strength of the omni in the lamp and not use .png as Podium does not support transparencies they would be perfect. Well done and good luck at the contest.
