Well it's been a long time between drinks.
I was using Podium a loooong time ago until I was hit with an update that resulted in mirrored [face me] 2D plant components pretty well exploding.
I use a huge amount of plant images and I regularly flip/mirror them to avoid obvious repetition.
I just noticed that the 'Flipped Component Texture Problem' has been fixed!
After some testing it does indeed look to be fixed..well done guys...finally! [biggrin]

Hey Stu, it's great to see you back!

Have you seen the Browser plant Library recently?

Got any requests? [wink]

Hi BS,
Yep, I've been checking out the Browser..looks very good.
I'm pretty well covered for plants..Iv'e got the complete CADPLants library plus most of the Envirographics offerings  [best 2D cutouts we will see in our lifetime [smile]]
TBH Iv'e been away from Podium for quite a while but after a few tests and checks..I'm impressed...and the continuing evolution and updating is a big plus.

Have you seen the huge expansion in 3D plants? So much more content now that there ever was before.

Yep..had a look at the 3D trees...very impressive range.
I did however, commit to photo-real 2D cut-outs a long time ago.
Apart from the more realistic and specific representation available it was just a matter of physics.....I can use 70+ plant components in a model so I need to avoid the dreaded bug-splat and the huge increase in rendering time that 3D components will cause.
And as I mentioned, Iv'e a huge library of 5000+ 2D plant components I can use [wink]

2D plants are great, but there is an issue with shadow angle.
