Wow...what a unbelievable waste.

Its a shame it looks beyond repair/recycling. Buildings and organization look really great..

Also strange how beautiful it is, vegetation took over, magnificent ruins. Looks like a post apocalyptic scene but in that case, we know its not horrible like Chernobyl.

that is alót of concrete in one place
there are so many structures in the world that are just forgotten about but were pioneerwork

its on that website aswel, but if you google image 'pod city san zhi'   you will love what you see

also google image 'spomeniks'   yugoslavian war/revolutian monuments  that are amazing  crude concrete structures

My country was a part of Yugoslavia. And it's "spomenici" btw

:-)  yes :-)   but if you put in spomenici you just see normal grave stones man.  

do you know some of these 'futuristiki spomenici' in your home area? and what do you think of them?

the areal shots..  I thought it was bigger but its fairly small. and it looks completely man made.

fairly disturbing how all this..sturdy concrete decays in little over 30 years

Jan Kempenaers is the photographer who published a book. There are a lot of smaller monuments where I live, but non of the featured. Here you can find nice ones. They are errected in memory of anti-fascist battles and heros of ww2 but people don't like them because they represent a bad regime that followed. Not that the "democratic" one we have now is much better. I love them for the architecture.
