There's an infrequent problem that a customer reported with displaying the Podium license manager on Mac 10.6.8, to activate a Podium V2 license.  The license manager would not display correctly so activation could not be made. This customer found the solution which may help you, if you are running into this problem.  Here is exactly what she told me:
I dug a round on the internet and someone suggested removing duplicate fonts using Font Book. It worked. Decided to check for duplicate fonts just now, and yes there were some. I removed them, reinstalled Podium V2 and Voila! I was able to access License Manager and enter my code.

Hi davew,

Though your post is quite old, I'm stumbling upon the same problem. I'm running Win 7 and just installed SU2106 pro. Now I'm trying to install and activate SU Podium v2.5.1 Plus for 2016, but I can't get the license manager to show up.

I've googled al lot, though I didn't succeed in finding the solution. Your post is the only answer out there, but now I don't know how to apply your solution for Win 7.

Can you help me analyse en solve the same problem as you described in 2012? Or can you explain more specific how to apply given solution within my context?

It would be perfect. [smile]

Greetings,
Martijn.

This is not in the least bit relevant, as this post relates to an old version of the Mac operating system [smile]
Licence activation is straightforward normally.

You use the licence number e-mailed to you when you bought Podium. You need to make sure that you have purchased a licence for the latest version of Podium. You can't use an older licence because the latest version is a paid upgrade.

You also need to make sure that you have entered the serial number for Podium, not for the Browser. That's another serial number altogether.

These things sound straightforward, but you would be surprised how often some people miss these things - we're all human [smile]

If that still doesn't work, you need to make sure that there isn't something else interfering with Podium.

Do you have any other plugins installed? What security software do you have?

Hi bigstick,

Thnx for the reply. I've got a license voor the paid upgrade. I've had podium 2.5 Plus installed in SU2015. No problem activating / inserting the license then.

Now I've got everything freshly installed after the right uninstall (I've used the .exe uninstall file form podium).

... And while i'm typing and trying some stuf, I've found a solution, not the problem!

Okay, In the past (2015) I always had the problem that the render manager wouldn't show up. So I created a shortcut of the OOPR.exe file on my desktop. For every time I was going to make renders I manually opened the render manager.

Now I just found out that in the same folder as the render manager, there is a file called LicenseManager.exe. And THAT's what I was looking for. I can execute this manually and insert the license! [biggrin]

Of Course it's a work-around for the normal way things should work, but it works. I guess it has something to do with a firewall or a virus scanner, but our IT guys have restricted me from going in the settings. [rolleyes]

Thnx again, for being a place where I can discover solutions. [thumb]

Your security software is most likely the problem.
We do find this with tight system security, and in fact in professional offices where individual applications require plugins and customisation, overly-strict security is A VERY BAD THING.

Hey people,

After I posted last reaction in which I described the succes of entering my license code, I didn't use the software for a while. Today I needed to use it again and stumbled upon issues probably related to the issue I mentioned earlier.

Though I succeeded in entering mij license code by manually opening LicenseManager.exe, SU Podium hasn't unlocked the full version features. For example, my option for choosing a fixed render resolution is greyed out and the renders I CAN make, have the information bar forced on the bottom of the image [confused].

I contacted our IT guys and explained the problem. We disabled the virus scanner, windows firewall, malwarebytes and set user account control to minimal interference. With these all disabled, I uninstalled SU Podium with the uninstall.exe file form the website (execute as admin), restarted my pc, checked if everything still was disabled and reinstalled the 2016 version (64bit). Without succes.

LicenseManager and OOPR are still not opening via SU Podium. My specs:

-Win7 professional 64
-Sketchup Pro 2016
-su_podium_2_full_2016_x64.exe --> version 2.5.124.0

I also checked my license key with our supplier: it's a good key.

Does anyone have a burst of creativity on how to solve my issue? It would by awesome.

There is something on your machine which is interfering with Podium. Under usual circumstances, Podium just works.

Problems occur with different configurations. Try creating a new user account and installing SU and Podium, and see if that works. That should isolate the problem.
