Hi~All

This is a bigger scene than I've shared before.

But it doesn't take me lots of time to adjust.

Here is my tips:

I make a layer called 「deco」 in my SketchUp and check it [invisible]

When I finish a component's rendering settings,I will use [Entity info]

then transfer its layer to [deco] layer.

So that I can easily understand what I've done in the scene.

Morning kitchen-PIE.jpg

In this case,I only set a sun and 3 spotlights.

I chose 2_interior_bright_high_2_HDR.pps as preset.

In addition,I use glass material from Browser named ''Glass 05'' on the left side of this image.

I've made the floor material to a component and share at the forum.

You make me get an idea that all of us could share great materials at the forum.

Maybe our moderators could upload them to Podium Browser.

Sound nice?

Anyway, you could try my floor material by downloading attach file.

Yeah, love it! I barely make new materials on my work but the ones I made I can share them no problem, I had a bunch worthy of sharing them

maybe just a little credit on the browser for prosperity

Nice idea Zeus!  [thumb]

We can make a dropbox or google drive etc. but putting them in the browser I think is better

I like that tip. Adds another control, but easily.

Actually we have discussed making the Podium material preview model available for people to use. We've also discussed the principle of allowing customers to create their own materials for adding to the Browser.

The really huge problem with this, is ensuring that copyright isn't violated. We don't want to be exposed to a risk of litigation from someone who has been responsible for the original image. If it uses an Open Source licence it's a good start, but all Open Source licences are not equal and while some allow Open Source material to be used in commercial products - some don't. We would have to check, which would be a massive pain in the backside...

My understanding (which may not be correct) is that if someone uses 'free' source material, they need to make significant enough changes to it so as to be able to claim that it's a new works that the original intellectual property is invalidated. It's not unlike the issues that are found in music, with sampling, riffs, hooks and the like.

So - it's a fabulous idea that we would really like to be able to implement, but the problems are too great.

Sorry guys...

No problem!

We can use the low profile alternative like a public dropbox link, what do you think Zeus?

Never mind,it is a serious problem and sometimes we also cannot make sure is it really ''free''.

Your consideration is absolutely right!Who want to be at risk!

Thanks for your replying.
