Would like to see that reflections and lights can be set in the material browser too.
( like bumps )
Sometimes is hard to set the materials in Groups and components as the " All with the same Material " does not work.
Single material settings was not the problem out of Podium.

I don't entirely understand Burkhard - reflections and light strength for LEMs can be set in the materials browser, just like bumps.

Selecting materials in groups or smoothed surfaces needs to be done with the SU eyedropper.

Have I misunderstood the question?

Maybe it is my fault.
Using reflections on the same material means that I have to select the faces to apply. In Groups and Components I can't select the material at once. So it would be nice to select the material in the materials browser to set the reflections at once. Select single faces should be a seperate option if you do not need all the same material.
Maybe I miss something when you tell me that is possible in the materials browser.

To select materials, you need to use the SU eyedropper. You don't have to open the group/component.

Material assignments work globally. It isn't like V1.x where you need to select individual faces to assign properties to.

There will be no option to assign properties differently by face.

If you have 2 faces (let's say timber, and you want one shiny and the other matt) they in effect have different properties, so you will need to create separate materials for them in SU.

It is exactly the same with transparency, you can't apply that per face - it is a global material property. This is the best way to think of Podium V2 materials, as extensions to individual SU material properties.
