Podium used to work well for me (pre Sketchup Pro 2017) I uninstalled older Podium. I have disabled all other plugins. I have done a new install of Podium_V2_5_606_64. I am using Windows 10 Pro version 1703 onan Intel Core i7-2600K CPU  with 16GB installed RAM, with a 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti video card. I made a new simple Sketchup drawing with a single rectangular solid with a total of 12 edges, 6 faces, 3 materials, 1 layer, 1 style. The Generate command can create a script. When I select render, the rendering manager window opens briefly, and a progress window appears briefly, then both disappear with no trace. When I installed Podium, I disabled my Windows Defender firewall.

Other posts mentioned that there is required a PodiumImageEditor.exe.  I cannot find any such file on my computer--is that still part of the install?  I am using no other virus detection programs.

Can you help me get this working?

Have a look here first, and see if this fixes it.

If not, it may be that the Render Manager is being blocked. Disabling the Firewall on installation I don't think will work. You may need to make an exception for it. We have also had problems when Podium is blocked by Antivirus applications.

Can you try to create a folder called C:\test, set your renders to be saved there in the Settings dialog, and see if your renders appear there. If so, it's working, you can't see the render Manager, and there is an issue like the one listed above.

If not, either the Podium installation has been corrupted, or something is blocking the Render Manager.

When the window disappears, is the process still running? Do you still have the oopr icon on the taskbar? This thing has now the habit to minimise with the latest windows update, but its working in the background.

If that's the case, you can SHIT+Right Click the oopr icon and maximise/minimise window to make it pop out.

No, the process seems to run for about 3 seconds, and then quits. Sometimes a window comes up on the desktop that says oopr.exe has stopped working, sometimes no window. No icon appears in taskbar. Task manager in the details pane shows the appearance of oopr for about 3-4 seconds, sometimes a parenthetic note appears saying "(not responding)".

I have deleted folders that from my Appdata folder that contained older versions of Sketchup.

I had an expired trial version of Malwarebytes that I uninstalled. I was suspicious of a file search program I had called Copernic, so I uninstalled that. In Window Defender, I listed the Sketchup folder as one to not scan for viruses. I also turned off virus protection and app and browser control in Windows Defender. I have also set permission for oopr to communicate through Window firewall for both private and public networks. I have no other virus or malware protection programs. I can't figure what could be blocking oopr.

I have created a folder "test" in C drive and set that as the destination for renders. Nothing has appeared in that folder.

Any other suggestions?

Hey smartsizer have you emailed support@cadalog-inc.com yet?

If not, I recommend doing so.  We deal with this issue pretty frequently, but it's hard to diagnose because the underlying cause can vary.  But someone will be able to work through it with you if you contact support.

Thanks for the suggestion. They got it working for me. Evidently I had some third party plugin conflict that was creating the problem. It works now!
