Anyone know why a pano (using a panopdm link) would not show on an i-pad, and one Samsung phone but on another?

Pano pages are simply html5 and a single image, so if the signal is strong enough and the data throughput is fast enough, it should just display.

If all devices are on wifi, then you might need to check to see if there are things like a VPN might be interfering with the connection.

If devices are using mobile data, perhaps they have gone over their data allowance, or there might be traffic shaping by the ISP.

Cheers bigstick.
I am fairly much across all of that stuff. But the thing is - all the devices are on the same wifi at the same time and I e-mailed the link in a loop so it couldn't be different, but the I-pad and one phone are just black screens! (Not too worried about the phone - it does other weird things!)
I can log into panopdm.com on the I-pad ok, but when I tap "View Panorama" the screen goes black. (Sitting 1 metre from the router - so signal shouldn't be an issue, I imagine.)
I have uploaded the same model to Sketchfab and it is clunky but works ok, and there are no issues with other sites generally.

I can't comment on Samsung devices, because I don't have an Android device, and for these users, OS fragmentation is a huge problem.

iOS should 'just work' though. That's bizarre.

This does sound vaguely like the server maintenance issue from April, which basically started:

Quote:
"For some reason, displaying panoramas from http://www.panopdm.com are showing up black in Chrome on Mac or on Windows."

A few emails later, Dave's response was:

Quote:

"This was not actually a Chrome problem.  There are two panopdm.com servers to act as a backup for each other.
The servers were rebooted last week to solve a temp folder being filled.
One of the servers did not reconnect to it's temp folder automatically.
If the customer's session was connected to the server that had a problem the pano would display black.
That's why panoramas displayed OK sometimes like on one device not on another."

splatcreativeau - Try completely logging out of your Panopdm session on the affected devices. Then delete your browser history AND cache. Or just search for panopdm in your history, then delete/remove history and cache entry for panopdm.com.

If that doesn't work, we might want to check with Dave/Andrew. This wouldn't be the first time the maintenance scripts had stopped working causing the temp folder to fill up.
