Im having a problem where by the quality from the finished render, to changing into a VR Pano on the server is drastically changed. The original image is crisp and great quality, however the 360 tour is no where near what it should be. It was rendered on interior High 8.0 and at a 8000 to 4000 res.

Any ideas?

Hi Hseal, can you post a link to the panorama?  I think we'll be able to give you more direction if we see the image.

They do need to be quite large to be 100% crisp; I think some of the examples on the website are actually 12000x6000.  ButI'd think 8k by 4k should give a pretty decent result.

Not the greatest position - but our client wanted to see the rooflight with in 360 in google cardboard. I have just rendered an external pano over this weekend at much higher RES and it worked really well. In which case i may have solved my problem. Presumably render times of more than a day are not uncommon for this size of render?

Hi Henry,

That's a really nice Panoramic render!

I would render at 9000x4500 on a high preset and use the png format for a higher quality resolution.

I also use the Cubic VR plugin to add a faint line overlay to Panoramic's which helps add extra detail and definition.

kind regards,
Nat
