Hello everyone,

Shall I be the first to post a WIP? I'd be happy to [biggrin]

I was actually working on this model when I saw the post about the contest and thought it might be ideal. Having said that I must have about another dozen ideas in my head so its quite possible this might change [smile]

I have been finding rendering interiors a bit of a nightmare but I've just downloaded the Podium user guide so hopefully that will give me some help. Not sure why I've not read it before [confused]

Okay I knew I'd change my mind. I wanted to have a go at some stained glass shining through into a white hallway. Wasn't sure if it was even possible but I think I figured it out. Lots of changes to make but I think it will be more of an interesting image than my one above.

I've added a bit of size to the hallway and given it a staircase, skirts, mouldings and radiator cover. So far everything is from the browser. My floor looks as though its sloping to the left, I'm not sure why. Hope it's not subsidence [eek]

This is interesting. I placed an omni light just outside the front door and its created all these amazing reflections on the wall. I know its not realistic but thought it looked good and worth a post [smile]

The lack of comments on all these render contest posts is not because no-one is reading, but possibly because the competition is silently checking out what has been done, and because the judges can't possibly comment [wink]

Nice, way to break the ice!  This is coming along, the stained glass effect is very cool.  I see what you mean about the floor; you could always try the "reset tilt" option?

Haha Jim, yes I did wonder that. I was beginning to think maybe I shouldn't be posting as no-one else is. But hey, it won't stop me [smile]

Thanks Justin. Reset tilt? I've not heard of that so I'll look into it.

Yeah it's under Extensions > SU Podium V2.5 plus > Tools > Reset Tilt.

Helps a lot with distortion in panorama renders, but it might eliminate the skewed floor problem you mentioned above.

My hallway just seems to keep getting bigger [smile]

This is a raw render, no PP. I keep changing up the furniture and wallpaper, just can't find anything I like.

I wasn't sure if this image would be a high enough quality so I've sent it to your dropbox as well. [cool]
