All of a sudden I am getting this error. (see attached)
I hit render, Podium thinks for a while (processing geometry) and throws this error at me. I click OK and Podium crashes.
Render size - max.
speed and jaggy at max.

Things that I have already tried so far.
Setting render size to min. (actually tried all, just for giggles)
Restarted Sketchup
Restarted computer
Tried to render with  minimum geometry
Copied the entire model into new file.

Nothing helped!

So far podium has been running just fine.
I have been trying out light levels on particular model the entire last week.
The attached night view was rendered at 640x480 on Thursday evening (just to show Podium was running fine until now)

Need ideas to troubleshoot ASAP please. I have to print this view on a board on Monday morning.

Thanks!

I love the model, if you want I can look at it, but I am sure you cannot share that model. Exploding is an option as mentioned, saving it as another name, closing and opening new save could help...keep us posted. I hope you come right.

You got that right Solo! That model is awesome! Serious detail..the file size must be enormous..I bet rotating it makes your PC chug! I love the design as well. The render looks more like a physical model than photo real, and with the perspective you used I feel like I am standing on some foam grass texture right next to a plaster street..or maybe sheet styrene!. The twilight/nite  look is cool.......if that is what you were going for....

David

Bummer about the error...try everyones suggestions..all of those tricks have worked for somebody on here one time or another..hope the file isn't corrupt..that would be a shame if you couldnt render it

Yup, that's the standard "your omni light is in a component" error!

Seriously nice model. The trees are the best SU modelled trees I have seen. I suspect that the actual building won't look nearly as good as your model though!

Hi bigstick,

Learned not to have omnis as components. Is this a bug? Is it in the FAQs?
Now that I look back at the error it does insinuate towards an omni-component discord!
Fortunately I had only one omni that I converted into component so it was easy to find the problem and fix. Now it is rendering!

"I suspect that the actual building won't look nearly as good as your model though!"

I will take that as a compliment and leave the discussion for the lounge at a later hour...

@nomeradona, solo and fella - thanks for your comments.

..and solo thanx for the offer!

precisely, this is the main reason why i do not use omni as component. maybe tbd will correct it later. i was frustrated with the same error only to find out after 2 days that it was the omnis as component.

looking forward on the final render.

cheers.
