Hi guys

I have started creating the base for a new project and I want to add ceramic roof tiles to all the roofs on the old building. Does anyone have any plugins or tricks to add the tiles to the parts with the curved mansard? I know about the random replacement trick with base tiles from the SU Podium Help section, but I haven't found any effective way to lay the tiles without doing it one by one and manually cutting and model junctions and corners.

Have you seen the tile array in the browser? I won't help for the curved part but will save you time for the flats.
Anyways, I don't know any plugin, but your curves seam to be identical, it don't think it would be too much on an hassle to make a component and repeat it over!

Thanks for the reply, yes I know the tile array(if we are talking about the same thing), its great for texturing!

I ´ll model it manually, doesn't seem to take too long.

Just a quick update to show the result of the roof Nick. I will take this thread down tomorrow just because this building is a little sensitive to expose in the moment. Sorry about that.

Hopefully I can post again when I have drawn the remodeling and extension.

There are Ruby plugins to distribute components along a path. That would work for the curves.

This is looking very good so far!
