Hi guys! I have problems in uploading new presets. I did in the way is written on the page but I cannot see them in the podium window where I can choose the preset. How can I do?
I have also problems with the clouds of the cloud domes that become everytime too dark. I attached an example.

Thanks

With cloud domes, you have to increase to intensity and exposure sliders.

If you make your own presets, you need to save them in the same place as the standard presets, and you need to restart SketchUp to see them.

However - you must use a plain text editor like Notepad to edit them. You can't use a word-processor.

As Jim said. Plus if you scale up the dome it will make the clouds brighter!

Thanks for your answer!
I downloaded the presets from the preset page and put them here:
C:\Users\Gabriele Castellano\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\SketchUp\Plugins\SU_Podium_V2\presets
but I cannot see them. I attached some picture to show you better!

Can you help me to understand? Thanks

Take the file in the folders, and put it with the others pps files. [wink] That should be good.

Something isn't right here. The files are showing with their extension as being.pps, and the icon is showing as a folder.

This means that these are not files - they are folders. The pps files are inside these folders [smile]

As Sebastien says - take the pps files out of the folders, and put them in with the other pps files

Ok I understand what you said for the two presets in the folders (exterior HRD, interior HDR) but, for instance, the presets exterior vegetation and exterior night are correctly uploaded but not showed in podium.
Thanks! [smile]

I think you will find that the location you have put these presets is not the one that is being viewed by Podium.

I had the same trouble on my Mac, finding the correct preset location on the Mac can be a nightmare, I did in the end but there are more than one location the presets are stored and you have to find the right one.

I am sure this is the reason you can still not view them or use them in Podium.

Nat

There is some info on the Podium website it says this:

http://suplugins.com/podium/preset-downloads.php

1. Where are presets located and can I customize presets?

SketchUp has not been consistent from version to version regarding where plugin data is installed. Here is the path to the Podium presets folder from SU 2015 all the way back to SketchUp 8.

  Windows

  • For Windows, SketchUp 2015
    C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2015\SketchUp\Plugins\SU_Podium_V2.5\presets\
  • For Windows, SketchUp 2014
    C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\SketchUp\Plugins\SU_Podium_V2.5\presets\
  • For Windows, SketchUp 2013
    c:\program files (x86)\sketchup\skechup 2013\plugins\SU_Podium_V2\presets\
  • For Windows, SketchUp 8
    c:\program files (x86)\google\google sketchup 8\plugins\SU_Podium_V2\presets\

Hope this helps.

regards,
Nat

No - really, if you are doing it properly - it just does [smile]

If you put all the pps presets in the same folder, Podium reads them. It has always done this.

Location seems to be right.
Try to cut and paste some presets on your desktop and see what is happening in su podium on the presets window.
That worked for me a while ago, you probably have to many presets on your folder.
