Can you try using the Nudge tool to make sure you don’t have conflicting co-planar faces?

If that fixes the issue, we have isolated the issue.

If not, then we have a wider issue.

Isolating the circumstances as far as possible makes fixing the problem both quicker and easier.

I'll try it next time I get a "magic" component giving me trouble. For now, my latest project model I'm working on is fine. I'll try to duplicate as best I can setting up some scenarios if I get some time.

believe it or not, I had a similar problem with a Best Buy mode from a client.  It would be great to see the model and ti see what we need to improve.

Tim, do you mind uploading one of the models that has disappearing components.  I need to assembly a few models to show the developers on my end.  I do believe the problem is coplanar faces or two components sharing the same face.

Send me an email and I'll shoot it over to you that way. It's one of our current projects so it needs to be private.
