Hi Bigstick,

I have been posting here a few times before, and have been using SU podium for many years. I love the program and will continue to use it.
I did encounter an enjoying glitch though lately. Every now and then the render turn into an completely black reflection render. See the images that i've included. what to do about this?!
I uninstalled the 2.6 version and got back to the 2.5. But still i sometimes (no particular reason) get a black render.
Maybe you know what this is, or have seen this before?

Best,

Sanne Jansen

We should have fixed this in v2.6. We found an issue where if you render one scene straight after another for some reason, the textures go missing.

It doesn't always happen, but it only seems to happen under this set of circumstances.

Try the latest 2.6 beta. Make sure you uninstall first though.

Unfortunately it happend in 2.6 and I changed back to 2.5 in the hope it wouldn't happen. I'll  install the latest version again, and make sure I won't cue several renders after each other.

That you for the tip.

Cheers,

Sanne

You can queue renders, it doesn't always happen. If it does, use the Generate function - it's the script icon.

If you are using Render All and are using a Mac, stop using it.  Generate All works much better.  Yes, Render All on the Mac hickups and the rendering skips over a scene, resulting in black images.  We did fix this in the most recent version of V2.6 but I still would not use RenderAll on the Mac.
I'm not sure if that's the glitch you have run into.
Specifically, when you render a scene, Podium is supposed to save a .script and .dat file and texture sub folder to a temporary folder. If you are using RenderAll, that process sometimes does not happen correctly.  I have argued about removing RenderAll but some customers object to that.
In any case, Generate All works better.
