Hello all,

Let me give you a brief summary of what I have. I have an exterior building model with different optional 'corners' to the building (options 1 and 2). I set up three views for each option for a total of 6 renderings. I set it up so options 1 and 2 were grouped separately so I could easily hide the option I did not want to show from one view to the next. However, here in lies in the problem. When using the render all tool it did not pick up on the hidden group I had set up for the scenes and ended up rendering the 3 views of options 1 twice, instead of picking up on the difference in option 2.

I checked multiple times before hitting the render all tool in order to make sure the group I wanted in each scene was correct, and everything checked out moving from scene to scene. Also, I am able to render them all separately just fine. I would appreciate any feedback about what I could do or what i did wrong or if this method of showing options isn't possible with the render all tool. Thanks!

Did you set different scenes with those objects on different layers?

BTW with the 2.5 upgrade. Exporting those 6 scenes one by one should be very quick [smile]

I do not have them on different layers, but that is a good point. I dislike using layers in SketchUp because it's too much of a hastle to make sure everything is on the same layers all the time. It slows me down [smile]. And yes the scenes to export very quickly in 2.5 plus [smile]

Layers are a fundamental part of working with SketchUp and practically every other 3d application.

This is the way to manage your visibility of geometry. I'm not sure about support for hidden geometry in RenderAll. It does work with layers though.
