How about a tool/plugin that can put a marquee window or frame around a certain area so Podium renders only a small part of the model?

Would be cool for adding new pieces of render to an already huge image.

I believe you are talking about  render region. Yes it would be useful eventually, I supose.

I think this is a really good idea. If you have a scene that you want to render really large, and you want to check to see how a particular section (say an object with particular reflection properties) will render, you can use this to save loads of time.

Yup, I'll see what we can do. Not for initial release obviously, but definitely for future development.

I can't promise anything obviously, but this is do-able!

i agree with that because that's cool when you want to see how it looks like some area before you make a final render....

I completely agree that that would be useful. I believe Accurender had that and was helpful before committing to a full, long render.
