Hi guys! So I'm getting a netbook that has a touch screen and in essence turns into a tablet. So yay now i can get into the world of digital sketching and really try it out. I was wondering if anyone knows of any free software out there that allows one to sketch with markers and pens, etc. digitally. I tired looking but couldn't find anything decent. I'm thinking of just buying Painter sketch soft from Corel(just fo a $100, not bad at all), but thought I ask before I do that.

Thanks!

Corel Painter for $100? Painter costs about $400 actually.
Its a beautiful app, a scanner and  some nice watercolour paper costs less.
Zbrush costs ~$600, includes paintstop (a corel painter like app).
So buy photoshop (a nice app for sketching too), or download gimp (its free). Buy a scanner too.
BTW digitizers are the greater partners of digital sculpture apps.

Autodesk also makes an interesting program called Sketchbook Pro.  I use it on my itouch and I like like the way it responds to touch.  Not sure if it works on netbook touch screen
