Plasma? noooooooo...do not touch plasma. they are crappy, burn out quick, burn screen quick, display HDTV crap, cannot be used as monitor and sux with ps3, wii and xbox. they are becoming as cheap as dirt...for above reasons, but do not bite...get LCD for multifuction clarity (now they even come with pixel regenerator)

Just an opinion, use it, lose it...whatever, and if you have a plasma then I am sorry we had this chat so late.

Solo, you're not on AREforum.org by any chance, are you?
I found this avatar today as I browsed and thought of yours.
Just wondering.

You are right Solo.. Among my many other occupations, I did high end video/audio/cable modem installations for a cable TV contractor. I wouldn't touch a plasma for free! I havn't purchased one yet but I am looking at Sharp Aqueous. My current TV is too damn reliable..I need one of my buddies to spill a beer on it by accident..wink wink..

nope...I found my avatar on the web...near the end I think, seeing as my life revolved around pussy for a large portion of it, it made sense to use the dizzy, speed freak, ipod carrying, electronica infested, generic branded, well groomed pussy to represent me.....heck..heck...sorry, hairball.

"spill beer" what???  never let that happen. I would have conscented to a war in Iraq if they had 2,1 million barrels of beer a day.

VERY powerfull render, solo!!!
It really has a great, and quite creepy, feel to it. Eventhough it's almost a shame the "3D guy" doesn't live up to your textures...

Did you light up the scene with a white sketchup background, and big LEM's beyond the field of view?

kind regards

You are quite right, white SU backround, LEM panels with % light 4ft away from entrances/ openings, window is actually texture of wall with high transparancy to give gritty look, my 3D guy is a Poser import without texture, so I used my own skin textures but life forms are tricky to make realistic. A close up would be better as his eyes have a shine on them as in the scene of "Furian" Riddick is born.
