Thats poetic . I think we'll have a test drive soon, it smells like this.

I'm an M.Arch student & find the SU & Podium combo to be great
for quickly representing an idea - figuring out geometries & approximating
lighting.

My wishlist for Podium is a deeper and more adjustable texture library, direct-able
spot lighting & a slider for the blurry option.

I just quickly read through this thread & found it funny that people are wanting
so so much more from Podium.

Remember that this is a google SKETCHUP plug-in.

Can we expect in a near future to have watermarks rendering to allow photos of skies?
It would spare a lot of time with post processing in Photoshop or other SW.

The  problem is that watermarks are pretty low  resolution. That would  create unatural   looking renders.

I don't understand what you mean.

We already have the facility to render an alpha background to make it easier to add a sky in PP.

My understanding of the term 'watermark' is rather different.

Jim he is on about watermark (background) in the SU. Not useful as it is low  rez. Of course he  could use  buffers which is pretty straightforward.

Ah - okay now I understand! Thanks sid

I don't think so. Results aren't likely to be worth the effort. I suspect you would be better off creating clouds with transparent pngs and applying them to a background plane with a background sky.

Failing that - pp. Much better results IMO.
