That's looking really nice!  I definitely prefer this most recent version, without any bloom/softness on the left side.  Like the new crop too.

JOE3D looking good! paintings remind me of Bob Timberlake's work. I like his work.
so, maybe I'll go with plan b.

Oh I really like that new start, Andrew.  I liked the tree scene too, but of course snowy trees are a pretty big challenge in SketchUp.  Definitely too much reflection, and possibly too much bump on the floor, but this looks great.  Did you model the wagon?

Here is my latest update on my Christmas Entry. I am still getting pretty bad JPEG compression lines across many surfaces. I think once I render on a higher preset and at a larger size, these will be far less noticeable.

Test.jpg
Below I just added a seat/ stool and wall light next to bookcase and sharpened the image a bit. Will now leave to render on a high preset at 9000x4500.

Great! Love that you brought back the chevron floor. I do think it works well in this type of space.

no i didn't model the wagon. but i like it. it is a good clean model too. i scour the warehouse for hours sometimes looking for the just the right component, changing key word searches, etc. just when you think no one has modeled something, it pops up and not always in a category you'd expect.

Hi everyone, the voting poll is up in the "FINALS" thread and will stay open for three days or so: Vote here

I also added the two or three entries that were posted here, but not posted in the finals topic.  Thanks to everyone who took the time to enter (I know the holidays can be a pretty busy/hectic time of year)!

Justin

Hi all, crossposting this from the "finals" thread so everyone sees. it.

Poll is closed, and it looks like we have a winner. Congrats Tanya!

So there are a couple ways we could choose a January theme.
  1. We could let the winner choose the next topic every month.
  2. Keep a running suggestion thread with a poll that stays open all month, and just pick the topic with the most votes. (This would work for February and beyond, but we probably need to make a quick decision for January).
Up to you guys! I'm started suggestion thread just in case: Right here.
Justin
