Ive seen this before that a model can be exported into quicktime vr format and it can be viewed just like you see the images in website posted above. pretty cool. Just wondered, if you guys can look into it, maybe bring a sketchup export function to quicktime to make this virtual world a reality |

Reply with quote | #2 | dont like Quicktime that much (too big runtime), but a similar thing is in the works using Flash - a one click button export so you can show your models on the web - SU native format and Podium rendered |

Reply with quote | #8 | You could try this:
http://www.smustard.com/script/CubicPanoOut - free plugin for exporting cubic panoramas. It will set the scenes up and then you just render them. Then you will probably need to edit the image size in photoshop or similar so they are cubic.
There is loads of free software for stitching the images together. I used a free trial of PTmac and it worked pretty well.
I never managed to get a perfect end product, main problem was the slight difference in light levels between the renders meant they never joined absolutely seamlessly. You could probably get rid of this in photoshop but I run out time to play around! I did try this a while ago though so you may have more success!
Hope that is of some help |
