Hello all I am having rendering troubles in podium just upgraded to latest version and when I go to render it says "error detected run wizard". When I do all I get is a prompt that I have no reflective, surfaces, no lights and no omnis. Due to me not setting them for quick renders. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem could be? I have even ran the reset tool. |

Reply with quote | #2 | Podium 1.7 implements a feature that finds textures without extensions that can potentially cause a model not to render.
Was the file you were attempting to render, rendering in a previous version of Podium?
Try this: Open the layers window in SketchUp. From the flyout menu that appears by clicking the arrow at the right, select color by layer. This sets the model into clay render mode, all textures are ignored. If the file renders without errors, you know for sure there is a texture causing a problem (most likely something imported from 3D warehouse.)
Can you post the model for me to look at? If it is too big to post here, please upload to the box.net account here: https://www.box.net/drop/Podium16/15e2926ed9

Reply with quote | #3 | Hello,
Thanks for the response. I rendered in clay form and it went smooth. I have uploaded the file to box.net the file is _Thai523_1b. Also Do you know a way to render jpegs. Would I have to convert the jpeg to a material for sketch up? |

Reply with quote | #4 | I'll take a look at the model as soon as I can. To render jpgs, or any image that is not imported as a texture, you must right click on that image and select explode. __________________ If you can't find an answer in the forum or need help with a model, send your questions and models to support@cadalog-inc.com. Reply with quote | #5 | I was able to render the model right after downloading with no problems. I exploded the jpg and threw in some omnis in the second image. I also cut the file size down to 24MB by purging unused items.

Reply with quote | #6 | If you are referring to files with the extension .jpeg (as used on Macs sometimes) you probably need to rename the extension to .jpg which always works.
There are lots of freeware programs that perform batch renaming operations.
