Just today. So you might want  to download it and install it  today.  Inpaint 2.0 http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/
It is quite neat piece of software for removal of unwanted things. It beats default tools in Photoshop.

Neat thread Sid I think I will add some more free software:

Free modeling app, very easy to use and great for organic and subdividing etc (although as Michalis informs me, not too stable on mac)

For making people models very easily. Change gender, weight, tone, age, nationality etc.....save in 3DS format and import into sketchup. I've not tried this on PC but apparently it's more stable than mac version.

Vector based graphics editor (for mac, requires X11):

But sid you could write that these are windows only apps. The only one that runs on MAC OSX is xnview and the only thing it can really do is to simulate windows explorer on a mac. Mac users don't need this sid. Finder is much better thanks. There was iview media pro, much better viewer but Microsoft stopped it, that's sad.
BTW you should stop xnview thumbnail cashing, else you'll be in trouble soon. (an ex xp user)

I use Xnview on my XP system without any problems. Sorry about for not being clear that some were  Windows only. I have  corrected it now. I keep forgetting there are Ipod people about
