Hi Dev Team,

A few items for the wish list

Email notification
One small item that help myself (and maybe others) is the option to enable a email notification when a selected render has finished. The only reason I ask is I use a render box to process my renders when i am busy so it frees me up to continue work and lets me know when items are finished.

Watched Folder
The ability that the Podium render manager will automatically watch a folder, and add the file/script into the manager for processing once found. This will enable saving from my computer to a render box and the process being automatic without having to initialize each time. It would be absolutely brilliant if it emailed the image once finished.

Hi there,

Have you herd of Dropbox? You can set your renders to save in one of its folder, which will automatically get uploaded and you will get a notification.

Has for the watched folder, that's a pretty unique need I'm afraid. I'm pretty sure you could work something efficient with remote control (like log me in) and/or macros.

E-mail notification doesn't make any sense to me. I don't understand what you mean by a 'render box'. What is is and what does it do?

Normally you just render your scenes and the scripts get queued and processed in turn.

We are looking into network rendering options.

As for 'watched folders' this functionality would probably come with networked rendering.

If you want files saved in a specific place to be e-mailed, you need a Mac and Applescript

Applescript is a really easy to use scripting language that can do all sorts of cool stuff.

For example there are scripts available that will e-mail all files moved to a specific directory. You can mail them all to the same e-mail address if you want.

You also have things called 'folder actions' which perform certain actions on the contents depending on what has been configured.

Try using Alfred as a program launcher. Other invaluable apps are Captur for screenshots, Evernote, Perian, Flip4Mac, Pathsnagger, Keka, Transmission, Lion Cache Cleaner, Onyx and Glimmer blocker
