It works really great with small models- in fact its magic. But when you use it when big ones, I'm affraid it does not seam possible..

If you could add a global progress bar, it would indicate somehow an ETA, and therefore be really useful for bigger models!

Anyways- amazing work, really.

Ок. I try to do this. Currently script display it's progress on status line. Sketchup may stop updating status line in some cases, for example when writing bid image to disk, and restore updating only when script finished. I try to use Sketchup's WebDialog and different thread to display progress, but in Ruby threads is fake. May be this will work, may be not...

And what is "big" model from Your point of view? Now many entities or megabytes? At this time i test script on models with no more than 50k entities.

50k is not that much unfortunately... you may need to test with 100k to 700k.

I found that it might be better on large models if the cleanup was separated from the render process. Cleanup can take a long time and I have some odels that just hang SU with no possibility of saving between stages.

To Nick00: I'm inspect Podium module for classes and known now to use Podium's ProgressPanel for reporting activity. What You say about this way? It is may be classified as some "reverse engineering" and may be not legal...

To bigstick: Leaving model in "prepared for rendering" state is not good idea because of side effects of modifications:
- Groups and Components Instances will be made all unique. This will increase model size and editing complexity.
- Some DC logic may be broken by recalculated transformations.
- Other changes (exploded Images, assigned materials from Groups to Faces, Faces reversed from current point of view) may make model unsuitable for further editing.

If someone accidentally save model in this state, in fact, it lost his work. However, if You needed such functionality, You may create in plugins folder file named "im_supfix.debug". This will add additional "Prepare only" command in menu. Make sure that in this mode script also leave on disk undistorted textures in temporary folder.

In one of next versions i reduce number of maked unique groups/components. Current version do this with all. This take main time on big models. I try to reduce it.

Hmm, I see what you mean. Maybe you could do an entity count initially and warn the user that processing will take a log time and ask them whether they want to proceed.
