Had to stop addi g to my last chain of posts...sorry about that y'all, I never realised that some folk might have slower connections and my page 6 on the other thread must have taken jonks to open (I was wondering when it would ever end and become 7 already)

Anyway here is a continuation of the last post..

And here is a gif (had to compress, cut, remove color etc to get size or posting)

Will post the morph as soon as it is done.

Wow Solo,
I wish I could do things like that.
Was the movie rendered frame by frame with Podium?

amazing. Solo.
what do you do for living? Are you an animation artist?
I sometimes have a thought to study animation. But never know where to start? Do you know which school is good? What program they usually use? Maya? 3D studio?

Thanks y'all

No this is not the movie I was talking about, the movie is Legends of Warhammer and we have just recently got some scenes but nothing on my end yet. This was for one of my kids originally now for a Marvel comic geek that wants a 3 minute sequence morph from man to monster but he wants the skin to melt off (like the original comic) and that is proving very difficult as the models are constructed in Poser 6, the Scenes are from Vue 6 and the morphs are in Max 9, and I have no doubts that he will additionally require a character for gmax as he is an avid modder.
I cannot wait for Podium to handle animation, but I shudder to think that using current engine may take a long time if you rendered at medium quality (24 frames per second) or heaven help you go for animation minimum 30. There are a few good ruby scripts available that have a page in page and key framer for animation.

I am not an animator, however as a kid I dreamed of being one but never persued it, I went the architecture route after a year of fine arts. I have two designers on staff that afford me the breather to play every now and again.
Who knows what the future holds, if I can find a niche that is not already saturated i will attempt it, my kid wants to get into that...which kid doesnt these days? he just lacks the talent and patience, while his brother the artist wants to be a game ranger in South Africa...go figure.

Nice Solo!  You are a multi talented guy. That's a cool animation...I cant wait to see the skin melt off him! To think that it started out as something you were just making for your son..now it' staking on a life of it's own!

Current project, 27 units in closed community, 2200 sq/ft, main features glass staircase, two decks of suite, full hieght restrictions used as main bedroom has 17 ft ceiling.

Quick render done as this is the sales pitch design (the whole reason I like Podium) I could have added a million textures, lights from the wazoo, reflections from everything reflectable...but all i needed was a 3 minute render per picture without any fuss...now for sales sign I will add bling.

Great looking stuff Solo.
I'm with you on the animation capability for Podium. But it would be an improvement only if Podium were capable to network render like Max. That would be a huge plus.
To be able to cut down rendering time by 500% is something we could all use and benefit from. Again, great stuff.

TBD has a truly fantastic idea for animation, which if it works, you are all really going to love!

As with most things, not imminent, but if it works as well as we hope, you'll all be sticking up 2 fingers to the Max/Maya mob

I stopped hanging art on walls the moment 40 plus inch lcd's became affordable...now I have worthless cable tv on my walls, and two teenage zombies that move from one to another.
