When building a scene and you don't have much in the background, there's a lot to gain when using HDRI backgrounds.

this scene has some grassy  field and a tree in the front.

when using HDRI backgrounds, you can quickly change the mood of the scene.
Here I used 3 backgrounds to create some twilight- night renders. (these are rendered in ProWalker, but it works also in Podium)

try to match the scale of the background with your scene, by rotating the view. Here the first one is on the edge of being too big.

All the backgrounds come from hdrihaven.com

if you scrutinize the renders you'll see that the guy isn't quite fitting in the picture; his left leg is slightly above his right one. So when you choose a particular angle of view, make sure that your 2D people match the angle.

Comments are always welcome!
