Hey guys,

I started a new industrial project and I'm running in a mapping problem in PW.
I've searched the tutorials and the forum, but I can't find a answer.
I've mapped a road with a material, divided it in sections and rotated the material so the pattern follows the curves. (not perfect, but good enough for this project)

rendered with PW the road material is all wrong.

I made sure that I didn't use the  back face, made sure that no material is attached to groups or components. There's only ONE face in the same space.
I tried 'projected' but it doesn't make any difference.

In Podium 2.6 the road looks OK.
(yes, the dashed lines belong on the edge of the road)

I'm using the latest drivers for the Geforce (02/04/2019)
What am I doing wrong here?

Yeah I have seen this before, and was able to reproduce it just now.

I think sometimes when you use SketchUp's position/rotation tools it doesn't translate correctly to ProWalker. But sometimes it does work, so I'm not really sure what the trigger is.

Anyway, try right clicking those faces and using the "Make unique texture" command.  This did solve it in the really simple example I just made.

Ok so actually, it seems like ProWalker recognizes the rotation and position functions, but if the texture gets distorted or sheared, the material is reset.

1. Starting positon

[starting-position]

2. Rotation only - ProWalker can render

[rotation-only]

3. Texture got distorted - ProWalker resets material to a 1:1 projection??

[distorted]

4. Used "Make Unique Texture" command - ProWalker registers change

[make-unique]

So I wonder if maybe your road sections got distorted or sheared a little bit when you used the rotation tools.  I personally think SketchUp's texture rotation tools are terrible and often end up distorting the texture by accident.

If I’m reading this correctly, pro walker doesn’t like “projected” textures?
