Hi
I've downloaded some trees i like on 3DWarehouse.
But they don't render in Podium.
I tried a few different render settings but it made no difference.

tried:

Exterior fine AA 1.0.5.pps
default.pps
exterior preview
exterior QMC

The tree is constructed of a couple surfaces pitched at an angle.
Can you try it and see if it works for you?
Grab one of the trees here:  https://1drv.ms/u/s!An4TIiBt2x9fmGbL3kC3nKlOTyWf?e=dgiuGn

You are going to need a better render to show us. We can't see what the render looks like at all.

First of all you need to add a geometry ground plane on which to cast shadows.

You should always run the Analyse tool (spanner/wrench icon on the toolbar) if you have a problem. It identifies problems in the model. Chances are the images textures on the trees are an unsupported format.

Even jpegs encoded as CMYK instead of RGB are problematic.

That's the big issue with 3DW. Lots of stuff that is badly-configured that can require lots of tweaking to make work. Some just won't work for reasons we don't fully understand, but these are very rare.

So the problem is that the tree foliage doesn't render at all.
One tree has a 3d trunk and just the trunk renders, no foliage.
